Last week of September!

It's hard to believe the end of September is nearing, especially with all of this beautiful, sunny, and warm weather!  This week we focused on making books in writer's workshop that teach something (rather than tell a story) and also practiced drawing really detailed people!

In math we played many games like Beat You to Five and Which Numeral Will Win, as well as learning about patterns from our calendar and creating them with Unifix Cubes. In Fundations we learned and practiced the letters r and s and touched on the sight word "can" but will come back to it as we didn't have much time with the day off, Four Winds, and our Apple Field Trip!

Ms. S came in and did another guidance lesson around "mud mind" and Ms. Heather came in to teach about following the "Group Plan". Ask your children to tell you about those things!

On Thursday we learned about Spiders in our first Four Winds lesson of the year. It was wonderful, and I even learned quite a few things I didn't know about spiders!

Today was beautiful for our apple trip and the guide commented several times at how well behaved and respectful the kids were. Aren't I lucky?!
