This week we have use iPads to practice writing our names, practiced writing numberals 1-5, made our first post on Seesaw, and today had our first Four Winds! It is amazing the progress that children have made already in getting used to the routine and adjusting to kindergarten. I am so very impressed! We continue to talk about school rules and Ms. S came in on Friday to talk more about what it means to be kind and responsible. We are starting a class book around the song Willoughby Wallaby Woo (ask your child to sing it to you!) and have one more chrysalis that should emerge as a butterfly sometime next week.
We have also joined with Ms. Benoit's first and second grade class to be buddies! We have watched some "mystery doug" videos (ask your children what they were about!) and shared our caterpillar and butterfly drawings we have done in our science journals. The first and second graders also had entries in their science journals about caterpillars and butterflies! We are looking forward to seeing them each week on Wednesday afternoons to do more science and have them read to us.
