This Week

We have had  a wonderful week! It has been great to be back in the classroom and I have been so impressed with how easily the kids transitioned between us and how much progress they have made in just a couple of weeks! They are really getting more mature and able to hold onto multiple directions and be more independent.
We spent some time this week wrapping up some of the science writing and learning the letters. We have learned about all the consonants and the sounds they make. In the coming weeks we will reinforce those sounds, talk about vowel sounds, and begin learning sight words that will help us read and write.
We have done some fun art projects this week, making feathers for a class turkey and focusing on the things we are thankful for this time of year. We also painted some community paper and shared it to weave some place mats students may use for a special meal over the break!

Yesterday we had a great Four Winds and enjoyed learning about birds and migration. Today we used google earth to start exploring our address and place in the world. We are beginning to learn the gingerbread man story and listen to the songs that will be part of our play in December!

This morning we had a wonderful buzzy celebration with our siblings. It was really very sweet to have so many students back to visit and they enjoyed being together!

We also had an amazing time "up on the hill" for Forest Friday! What a beautiful place we have to play!
