It’s hard to believe another week has gone, bringing an end to my weeks as lead teacher. What a wonderful experience it has been!
This week, a definite highlight in our classroom was Wilderness Wednesday, where we spent the day building snow forts, practicing letters and sight words in the snow, sledding, journaling, and exploring the forest near our school.
During Writer’s Workshop this week, we focused on revising, polishing, and presenting a story that we’re proud of in order to practice adding detail to writing and develop oral skills.
Over the course of the week, kindergartners made some incredible art and structures!
Finally, the week ended with everyone having to say good bye to our dear friend Bella, who is moving. She will be sorely missed!
I admit that I’m feeling a little sad about this experience ending and leaving at the end of next week, but it’s been an absolute pleasure to work in this classroom with all your wonderful, bright, and creative children!
Best, Naomi
