Last week during our Technology Lab time, the kids learned how to access a page with links for them. They learned how to open the internet, find my website on the Williston School District page and click on the link for kids. From here they can choose from three excellent literacy websites with reading activities. Feel free to check them out from home!

We are finishing up launching our Writer's Workshop by editing and publishing one story to share with the class. Our next unit will be a mini unit on telling stories across pages as many children are still working on oral storytelling and having each page of their book tell the next part of their story! Please let me know if you might be interested in coming in and telling the class a great story from memory!
In Fundations/Word Study we are finishing a unit before Thanksgiving on beginning sounds of the most common letters in the alphabet. We will be doing a quick assessment of letters and sounds before the break to see what kids are ready for after the break! They are really getting the habit of sorting by sounds and also connecting the sounds they are learning with the words they are trying to spell in Writer's Workshop!
