Hello Kindergarteners and Families,
Welcome to Mrs. Dyer's Kindergarten blog! Mrs. Dyer or Miss
Bissonette will be contributing to this blog on a regular basis to share some
of the wonderful happenings in our classroom community. This is an excellent
place to find classroom updates, photos of student work, important dates,
anecdotes, links to resources and more. You can follow the blog via e-mail by
typing your e-mail address into the "Follow by E-mail" section on the
right sidebar. Otherwise, you can always access it with the link
provided: www.absdyerkindergarten.blogspot.com
August is already upon us and the Open House visit to the
classroom on Monday, August 29th at 9AM will be here before we know it. I am very
excited to meet all of the children and families and hope that everyone will have
a nice morning exploring their new classroom.
As some of you may know, Mrs. Dyer had her third baby girl, Elsie
Josephine, in July and will be enjoying some time with her new little one until
Thanksgiving break. She is very precious! I wanted to share a little bit about
myself before our open house morning.
I am Chelsea Bissonette and this will be my third year teaching
kindergarten-aged children. I went to school at University of Vermont and
graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I enjoy finding
playful, hands on and active ways for children to engage in learning experiences. Some
of my favorite things to do with children would be exploring the great outdoors
and all that our beautiful state has to offer, reading favorite books, creating
wonderful art projects, baking/cooking and dancing! Some of the things I love
to do on stay home days include running, hiking, hanging with the furry friends
(a large herd of cows, a horse and a new kitten) and playing field hockey.
The beginning of the kindergarten year is such a special time for
children and their families. I hope to make the transition as seamless and
positive as possible for you and your child and can't wait to meet you all on
August 29th!
